Reshaping of KGM Strategy´s Management Team starts next Phase of Company’s Growth
- The new team underlines the transition from a regional owner-operated consultancy to an international player in the BCG network
- KGM Strategy has more than doubled its revenue, staff numbers, and presence within the European market over the last five years
Procurement and supply chain consultancy KGM Strategy will put in place a new structure of its Management Team as of January 1, 2022. Five years after its successful integration into the network of strategy consulting firm Boston Consulting Group (BCG), some of the founders are taking on new roles within the company. In future, the KGM Strategy team will be led by a six-strong Management Team: Daniel Weise as CEO, who will also be the key liaison to BCG’s global “Operations” practice area, Thibault Pucken as Chief Operating Officer (COO), KGM Strategy co-founder Frank Wierlemann for Human Resources, as well as Jan Kischkewitz (Germany and Austria), André Thuvesson (Nordics), and Thibault Lecat (UK, the Netherlands, and France).
“Over the past five years, KGM Strategy and BCG have become the leading European consultancy for procurement and supply chain optimization. Climate change, vulnerable supply chains, increasing prices, and digitization are constantly throwing up new challenges for companies in international procurement markets.
This is precisely where we can offer our clients the best support, and where we are in the ideal position for the next phase of our growth”, says Daniel Weise. Our Experts from a range of markets and industries, who have in-depth functional expertise, are perfectly placed as transformation and implementation partners for clients.
“Our strong organic growth and the related opportunities for personal advancement will make our company even more attractive to top talent. The integration into BCG’s global network has proved very successful.”
KGM Strategy has more than doubled its revenue and staff numbers over the last five years, as well as growing its number of offices from five to nine. “The key to KGM Strategy’s successful development is its ability to operate independently under the BCG umbrella, while at the same time working closely together with BCG experts worldwide. This setup is unique in the market, and we will keep optimizing it, so we can continue to create maximum value for our clients and refine even further how we handle new tasks and trends”, says Jan Kischkewitz, who will be leading the long established and largest KGM Strategy business in Germany and Austria.
The new Management Team’s setup completes the transition from a regional owner-operated consultancy to a management-led entity operating at an international level.
In the words of KGM Strategy co-founder Frank Wierlemann: “We are not only proud of the commercial success story of recent years and our transformation since we became part of BCG, but also of how our employees have developed. Many of them have progressed right through from interns and junior consultants to Managing Directors, and they are now taking over the baton from the company’s founders. That makes us extremely proud and grateful. I want to say a huge thank you to my co-founders Kiran Mazumdar and Markus Bergauer for our great teamwork in the Management Team.”
