KGM Strategy was launched from a pivotal realization. After many years immersed in the consulting world, Wes KGM identified a critical gap—firms delivered strategy and initiated some vendor contacts but often left companies alone to carry out vital changes. This revealed an untapped opportunity to support organizations not ready to handle end-to-end transformations by themselves.

Wes aimed to elevate supply chain strategy by integrating clear execution frameworks, hands-on training, and modern solutions into each engagement. He believed this fresh model would drive measurable outcomes, empower clients, and build enduring results. In 1989, Wes established KGM & Associates to prove his vision. Tens of billions in client benefits and three decades of client feedback have continually affirmed this direction—keeping Wes’s original insight alive at the firm’s core today.

As the firm expanded its insights, it broadened its offerings—progressing past the initial Procurement & Supply Chain focus to accommodate a growing international clientele.
